Fantasticly fried fish :D YUMMY

So I know I said that the mashed potatoes were next...but I lied... This fish was sorta spur of the moment type of thing, but ooooooh so tasty! Alrighty so you can get fresh or frozen fish...I use tilapia, just cause I really like white fish.. (salmon would have a different cooking length...usually a lot longer than white fish) Now if you have frozen fish, you have to thaw it out. If it is packaged fish, keep it in the package and just set it in the sink and cover with water and let the thawing happen on its own. Otherwise you can just put it in the fridge and let it thaw for an hour or so...it usually doesnt take very long with fish. Hint: please! PLEASE! Thaw your frozen foods in cool water...This is a slower method of thawing, but it is less likely of your produce/meats/fishes getting spoiled and nasty. Never thaw foods in hot water! When you fish is thawed get a pan going hot, prolly on med-high heat. Melt butter (2 Tbs should do it) in the hot pan. lightly coat your fish in flow...

Baked Chicken

I dont have a picture of this one, but trust me its tasty! Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees (f) Youll need some chicken breast for this one... Thaw the chicken if frozen. Put your chicken either on a backing sheet, or in a oven safe dish, and rub on some olive oil. Sprinkle some Lawry's Season Salt on the chicken (a lot or a little, its totally up to you) If you have some rosemary laying around use that too (not too much or you wont taste the chicken) Put it in the oven for 30-35 min (making sure that the chicken is cooked all the way) Serve with asparagus and mashed potatoes (next recipe :D), and enjoy That was easy -Happy Bellies-

Easy Egg Salad

Alrighty! First we need to hard boil some eggs... Take a pot of cold water and put about 6 or so eggs in the cold water. THEN bring the pot of cold water and eggs to a boil. Hint: It is important that the water start off cold because if it was boiling when you put the eggs in....it would be a mess of cracked eggs in your water... Once the water starts to boil, set your timer for 8-10 min. Once they are done you should replace your hot water with colder water...I usually just put the pot of boiling water and eggs in the sink, and let the cooler water replace the hot water. Then let it sit in the fridge for a bit... (WOW! That was the hard part...) The easy part! Take your cooled eggs and peel them, making sure that there is no shell to be found. If you have an egg cutter, now is the time to use it...if not a knife and fork will do just fine. Chop up the Eggs into little pieces, and put it in a bowl. Mayo and Mustard are all you need to finish this one off. Put a heaping spoon full of ma...

Super Simple (scrumptious) Spaghetti

So I came across this one the other day. My hubby was really hungry, and we didn't have a lot to choose from in the food department. So I suggested noodles....but he wanted more... So I figured I could just try to make some Red Sauce with some of the few things I had at home. First start out with a boiling pot of water and put an entire box of spaghetti in there (this serves about 4 people) Start cooking the pasta for about 8 min. or until your noodles are done and the way you like them While the noodles are cooking: For the sauce if you want you can brown some ground beef (1 lb) (if you want to make it vegetarian just skip the beef thing-it still tastes good) Put a whole can of tomato paste in with the browned beef And about 1 cup of water to that too... Mix it together well and now for the seasoning I like to put about 1 Tbls of Garlic Salt in there and Whatever Italian seasonings you have laying around. I like Oregano and Basil, and other classics like that. probably about 1 ...

Beautiful Banana Bread

1 Cup Granulated sugar 8 Tbsp (1 stick) of butter - room temp, this will make things a lot easier for you- 2 eggs 3 ripe bananas 1 Tbsp of milk 1 tsp of ground cinnamon 2 Cups of flour 1 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp of salt Alrighty, now is where we cook! Pre-heat that oven of yours to a spectacular 325 degrees (F) grease your bread pan (9x5x13) with butter or that spray stuff (Pam ;) ) and set aside Mix together the sugar and butter until fluffy and creamy, and start adding the eggs. -one at a time, and make sure they are mixed in there good- In a small bowl mash the bananas with a fork, potato masher, meat tenderizer or whatever you can get your hands on :D. Then mix in the milk and cinnamon. In another bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the banana mixture with the creamed mixture of the sugar, eggs and butter. Slowly add in the dry ingredient mixture. But only until all of the flour is mixed in. Pour the completed mixture into your pan a...

Spectacular Strawberry Lemonade

This recipe is one that I came across for the Fourth of July. I took it to the next level! 1 cup of water mixed with 1 cup of sugar -bring this to a boil in a small sauce pan- While the water and sugar combo is coming to a boil, squeeze some lemons! ^-^ About 5 or 6 lemons (or enough to give you 1 cup of lemon juice) Get a pitcher and fill it with ice (to the top, it will melt down when you put the boiling sugar water in it) Put the lemon juice in the pitcher Put the hot sugar-water mixture in the pitcher And now you will need to put 2-3 cups of cold water into that. -This is to dilute it a bit, the lemon and sugar-water are very strong and sweet by themselves X-o (thats supposed to be a sour face)- mix together and refrigerate Poor yourself a glass (make it the fanciest glass you have, just for the fun of it) Cut up one or two big strawberries and just let them sit in your lemonade for a little bit until it starts to turn pink. And enjoy! :D -Happy Bellies-
